A NIGHTCLUB in Bradford city centre has been renamed in memory of the late DJ Glenny following his sudden death earlier this month.
Envy Nightlife owner Jonathan Kirk said the pair had put on hold plans to create a new ‘superclub’ in the former The former Artz-I building after planning application issues.
Instead the club will remain in its current building under a new name.
Speaking on Facebook, he said: “Behind the scenes we had a few issues with the new venue, petitions were put in against us, complaints were filed, people didn’t want it to happen. In a nutshell local authorities were not really in full support of the venture.
“Myself and Glenny decided we would stay at Envy and make the place better from new lighting, Sky Sports TV screens and such.
“To that end I’m now looking to carry on what we started out and bring something special to Bradford in memory of Glenny.
“I’m in talks with the landlord to negotiate a new deal for the premises and we will be renaming the venue in memory of Glenny.
“I’ll update more soon but as of now Envy Nightlife will now become Glenny’s.”
