Expect Expansion as New Warehouse Set To Create Jobs in Bradford

Bradford based award-winning warehouse and logistics provider, Expect Distribution is set to open their latest new warehousing facility in March 2019, which is anticipated to offer benefits to the local community by creating 40 new job vacancies over the coming year.

The new 193,000 sq ft site on the Euroway Trading Estate provides the ideal location for Expect, being within 1 mile of their head office on the M606 and the move represents their fourth warehousing site in West Yorkshire, three of those being in Bradford.

Expect have experienced significant year on year growth, particularly in warehousing and make the move with demand still increasing through new contract wins and increased demand due to Brexit uncertainty, so much so that the business is predicting overall growth of 20% in 2019 and nearly 100% growth in their warehousing division. 

Managing Director Neil Rushworth commented

“This is an extremely exciting year for Expect as we continue on our development path in warehousing and we are delighted to have secured such a large prominent site, close to our current headquarters which will allow us to deliver unprecedented growth levels with our turnover in the warehousing division expected to rise from £2.5m to nearly £5m in 2019.

Not only that but we are creating new employment within West Yorkshire too which gives a boost to the local community and our number of employees will rise above 300 for the first time this year”

Already serving many regional business, Expect have signed two new warehousing contracts, one being a 10 year deal with fellow Bradford company Borg Warner who have been producing turbocharging systems for several commercial engine manufacturers in Bradford for over 40 years

A second contract with Gower Furniture, who manufacture kitchen fascias in Halifax, will be accommodated on the new 10 acre site shortly after Expect take occupation on 26 February.

Expect’s presence in the community was rewarded last year with the company winning the SME Business of the Year Award at the Bradford Means Business Awards, the first time that Expect have been recognised since moving to their head office site in 2009 after being based in Halifax for 24 years.
