Asda confirms change for shoppers buying fuel, at almost 500 stores next month

Asda has announced a change for shoppers who buy fuel, at almost 500 of its stores from next month – but it won’t last long.

The supermarket has launched a new money-saving fuel offer at its Express shops which will run from December 1-31 to give a “little extra help”.

Throughout the festive period, drivers who spend £15 or more on groceries in an Asda Express will get 3p off per litre of fuel at the same time.

So how does it work? To claim the fuel discount, customers need to spend £15 or more inside an Asda Express store, before paying for their fuel and shopping at the till. View this post on Instagram

Joseph Sutton, Vice President at Asda Express, foodservice and fuel, commented: “We know every penny matters for our customers.

“This offer gives people a little extra help – letting them save on fuel while offering unbeatable value as they stock up on everyday essentials or festive treats in the run-up to Christmas.”

It comes as Asda recently revealed it will be launching several new Express stores before the end of the year across the UK, as part of its convenience store opening programme.

This marked the retailer’s first store within the centre of the city.
