Eight new hybrid business units are being built at a Farsley business centre.
The units, at Springfield Mills, will be designed and built by regional contractors.
Chris Pratt, director at Gaunts Ltd, which runs Springfield Mills, said: “We receive many enquiries from businesses for this kind of space, so it made sense, from a practical and environmental point of view, to fulfil this demand using the existing land we have here.
“It’s an exciting opportunity for us and for new local and regional companies looking to expand.
“We’re pleased to be working with OGL Construction, Shelby Group, and architects Bowman Riley from the start on all aspects of design, build, costings, and detailed plans.”
Tom Wood, MD at OGL Construction, said: “Units of this size allow small online businesses and other enterprises to store a variety of goods, and have the office space to accommodate staffing needs, with room to grow.”
Each unit will consist of a ground floor workshop and first floor office space, along with dedicated parking.
According to a spokesperson, the new units are the first buildings to have been constructed on site at Springfield Mills in 50 years.
