President Elect visit to Mir Solicitors

Vice President of the Law Society of England and Wales, Lubna Shuja, visited the offices of Mir Solicitors today.

Lubna, will become President in October 2022. She was born and lived in Bradford and worked here for many years before relocating. She will become the first Asian, first Muslim and seventh female President since the national Law Society was established in 1825, almost 200 years ago.

She is in Yorkshire meeting other lawyers and will be attending the Bradford Law Society annual dinner.

Idris Mir of Bradford based Mir Solicitors, and other Directors of Mir Solicitors welcomed the president elect.

Idris said: “We are proud to welcome Lubna back to Bradford. The legal marketplace has changed massively since Lubna left 16 years ago, and as a result of recent social and economic changes, the legal infrastructure has benefited from massive technological advances”.

Firms have had to step up efforts to modernize themselves, and Mir Solicitors being one of the leaders in their various fields, have not been left behind.

Idris Mir also served as the President of the Bradford Law Society between 2010 and 2012.
