Last week Comprendo IT Support & Consultancy, based in Cross Hills, was presented with their Small Business Sunday winner’s certificate by the business and retail entrepreneur, and self-confessed Shopkeeper, Theo Paphitis.
At the Small Business Sunday’s15th anniversary event at the Birmingham ICC, Comprendo’s Sara Haggas accepted the accolade for the business’s winning Instagram post from July 2024 and enjoyed a packed day full of small business support, expert advice and upskilling opportunities.
With main stage events including Theo Paphitis himself and high profile business guests, there were also break-out presentations and opportunities to network with #SBS’s partners, including Google, NatWest, Ryman, DHL and Hakim Group, who have all helped small businesses to thrive in common.
With over 4,000 winners within the #SBS community, and many of whom were at Friday’s event, ample time was provided to network and share experiences with other winners from a diverse range of businesses from throughout the UK.
Sara Haggas, Comprendo’s Sales & Marketing Manager, said ‘’What an absolutely amazing day; the room was buzzing with energy and the day was full of the most inspiring people, fascinating business journeys and success stories. The event’s tagline was ‘’Helping small businesses think big’’ and that perfectly described the mood of the day.’’
Small business champion, Theo Paphitis, said: “We are thrilled to welcome new #SBS members every week and highlight just how important it is to support our small businesses here in the UK. My vision is that everyone who has ever won an #SBS re-tweet from me becomes part of a friendly club; like-minded individuals who can share successes and learnings.’’
Anyone looking for a re‐post from Theo should post to him on X, LinkedIn or Instagram about their business on Sunday between 5 PM and 7.30 PM and include the hashtag #SBS. Six lucky businesses are re‐tweeted every Monday at 8 PM and then invited to enter their profile on the new website, attend the annual #SBS networking event and take advantage of the networking opportunities.
