Did you know that 18 million workdays are lost due to poor mental health every year?
Poor mental health is costing employers £50 billion every year, that’s an average of £2,400 per employee.
Employers depend on having a healthy and productive workforce. Valued and supported people are more likely to perform at their best. If you want to attract and retain committed employees, prioritising the mental health of your people needs to be a prime concern.
Investing in mental health is good for your people and your business. Investing in your local mental health charity is also good for the economy.
Bradford District and Craven Mind operates throughout the local area, from Bradford city centre through to Keighley, Bingley, Shipley, Ilkley, Skipton and to the Craven area beyond.
Last year over 17,000 people from your local area accessed mental health support from our services. Our services are available to people of all-ages from children as young as five to adults in their 80s.
We support people at every step of their mental health journey with one-to-one or group support provided in person, online or over the phone. We deliver our life-changing support in an increasing number of locations such as hospitals, GP surgeries, cafes and even local parks.
Every year 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem.
Therefore some of the people accessing services such as Guide-Line will be your employees. Guide-Line is our confidential helpline for emotional support over the phone and via live chat, the service is available from 8am until midnight every day of the year.
Our services are free to access and the income we generate is solely from the work we do across Bradford District and Craven.
Workplace Wellbeing and Training
You can directly support your workforce by asking us to deliver mental health training as part of your workplace wellbeing initiatives. Our training team can come to you to deliver courses such as Mental Health First Aid, Skills for Managers and Stress Awareness. By doing so any profits we make will be reinvested into supporting the people of Bradford District and Craven.
We are proud to say that 87p from every £1 we receive is spent on our charitable efforts.
Alternatively you can come to us and book places on our programme of mental health training courses which take place online and from our central Bradford office.
