A BRADFORD district funeral directors is opening its doors to the public to mark a milestone.

D Walsh & Son Funeral Directors, based in Idle Road, Eccleshill, will host an open day on Tuesday, July 4 to mark its five-year anniversary. 

Visitors to the open day will have the opportunity to meet the team at D Walsh & Son and ask any questions they may have about funeral plans, what happens in a funeral home, or the process of organising a funeral.

The open day will take place between 1pm and 4pm and tea, coffee and cake will be served to visitors.

One of the firm’s funeral directors said: “I wanted to join a profession where caring for people comes first.

“Being a funeral director is never a 9-5 profession, we are here for people when they need us, whenever that may be.

“We’re here to continue to support the wonderful community of Bradford, this day is a chance for us to express our gratitude to the community that has entrusted us with their loved ones and offer support and information to those who may require it.

“The team and I are very much looking forward to welcoming everyone and meeting some new faces.”
