MERMAIDS and Transformers will be at a Bradford shopping centre as it hosts a number of free events this summer.
Kirkgate Centre’s Slice of Summer will start on Friday, August 4 and run for three consecutive Fridays, between 11am and 4pm each event.
Children are invited to meet their favourite superheroes on August 4 including Captain America and Spider-Man. This session will also feature a chance to learn how to be a superhero at a workshop.
On August 11, TV favourite TITAN The Robot will be visiting Kirkgate Centre, wowing the audience with his tricks and robo-skills. Seven days later Kirkgate takes a trip Under The Sea with a visit from Princess Mermaid and the Sea Witch. Children can create sea turtles using plastic bottles in the recycled workshop.
Ending the Slice of Summer fun at Kirkgate, on August 25 will be a Transformer takeover. Famous transformers Bumblebee and Optimus Prime will visit.
The Kirkgate Shopping Centre will also be host to four installations, built and presented by BRICKLIVE, as part of the Fantasy Kingdom Trail taking place in Bradford until Saturday, August 6. The free adventure, organised by Bradford BID, takes visitors and shoppers on a journey through with the installation of 15 mystical and fantasy figures dotted around the city.
