As Google begins rolling out its new AI Mode to users in the UK, businesses are being urged to prepare for major changes in how people search for and discover information online.
To help local companies navigate the shift, LOCALiQ – part of Newsquest Media Group and named SEO Agency of the Year 2024 – is hosting a free live webinar.
The webinar, taking place on Wednesday, August 20, at 11 am, will explain what AI Mode is, how it works, and what businesses need to do to stay visible in Google’s new AI-powered search experience.
“Google’s AI Mode is reshaping how people interact with search. Rather than showing a list of links, it now provides AI-generated summaries using content from across the web,” said Brandon Griffin, Interim Marketing Director at LOCALiQ.
Mr Griffin added: “For many businesses, that means their website might not be seen unless they adapt. This webinar will give them the tools to do just that.”
The session, titled How to Prepare for Google’s AI Mode: What Every Business Should Know, will be led by Griffin alongside Shai Khullar, Head of Web Presence at LOCALiQ.
It has been designed to offer clear, actionable guidance for business owners, marketing teams and anyone who relies on web traffic to generate enquiries or sales.
Attendees will learn:
- How AI Mode changes the way search results are displayed
- What types of content are more likely to appear in AI summaries
- Practical steps to optimise for visibility in the new format
- Real examples of content that performs well in AI-powered search

The webinar follows findings from LOCALiQ’s latest research showing that 53% of UK businesses are already using AI in their marketing – a sharp rise from 21% just a year ago.
Despite this growth, many businesses remain unsure how Google’s AI updates will impact them.
LOCALiQ, a leading digital marketing agency working with businesses across the UK, says the upcoming changes are too significant to ignore.
“We’ve entered a new era of search,” said Griffin. “The sooner businesses understand what’s changing, the better positioned they’ll be to thrive.”
The event is free to attend, but spaces are limited. Those who can’t join live are encouraged to register to receive the recording. BusinessTechnology
