A business in Baildon is celebrating the success of its apprenticeship academy and the potential of work-based learning.
The ACS Group, founded in 2008, offers apprenticeships in partnership with Bradford Council and Shipley College in sales, accounts, marketing, and purchasing.
Its academy supports the company’s four core services in IT, office, interiors, and print.
This spring, five apprentices from the 2024 cohort completed their training.
Sam Briggs, a graduate apprentice at ACE Group, said: “I have learnt so much as an apprentice.
“My apprenticeship was in IT Technical sales.
“It’s been an opportunity to learn new skills but also learn about what’s important in the workplace.”
Mr Briggs has since progressed to a Level 4 Procurement Apprenticeship.
Elizabeth Stevenson, strategic director of ACS Group, said: “Apprenticeships provide a fantastic opportunity for many young people who are seeking an alternative way of gaining skills and accessing the workplace.
