Bradford-based Delifresh secures HSBC funding for expansion

A Bradford-based food service supplier is set for expansion.

Delifresh has secured a credit facility from HSBC UK to increase its operational capacity.

The funding will support the complete fit-out of a new 80,000 square foot facility in Bradford, including a “state-of-the-art” pick and pack operation, energy-efficient temperature-controlled chilling systems, and an upgraded ERP system.

Delifresh anticipates continued geographical expansion and a further increase in turnover over the next 12 months.

This will be supported by ongoing investment into the company’s “environmentally friendly” fleet, and plans to grow the 417-strong workforce.

Richard Mostyn-Jones, managing director at Delifresh, said: “This funding allows us to further enhance our operational capabilities and expand our services, ensuring we continue to meet the needs of our customers and suppliers effectively.”

Jeetesh Prajapati, global relationship director at HSBC UK, added: “Delifresh’s ambitious plans for growth demonstrate the potential of strategic investment.

“We are excited to support expansion of the business, which will allow it to better serve its customers and create new job opportunities within the community.”

Delifresh Ltd was established in 2002 and supplies fresh, frozen, and ambient to sectors including hotels, restaurants, and caterers.
