A Bradford-based logistics firm has launched a new charity partnership.
Expect Distribution has teamed up with One In A Million, a charity co-founded in 2005 by former Bradford City player Wayne Jacobs, to help children and young people in disadvantaged areas of the city.
Bob Duffy, commercial director at Expect Distribution, said: “Working with One In A Million means more than a logo on our website – it’s about actively engaging our team, customers and community to make a real difference in young people’s lives.
“When we met the One In A Million team, we felt their passion and saw first-hand the incredible impact they have.
“We’re honoured to be supporting the charity over the coming year and beyond.”
As part of the partnership, more than 330 staff across Expect’s three Bradford sites will take part in fundraising and volunteering activities, including a One Million Steps Challenge, five-a-side football tournament, and awareness campaigns.
Wayne Jacobs, chief executive officer at One In A Million, said: “The company’s values of teamwork, commitment and community align very closely with ours as a charity.
“Their support will help us reach more children and young people living in disadvantaged communities of Bradford.”
