A BRADFORD dental clinic will be offering free mouth cancer screening sessions this month.
Taylored Dental Care, on Highfield Road in Idle, is putting on the sessions as part of Mouth Cancer Action Month.
Over 8,000 people in the UK were diagnosed with mouth cancer last year and awareness of the major signs and symptoms is low.
The Lord Mayor Councillor Gerry Barker attended the practice for the launch day of the sessions, which will run every Wednesday, earlier this week.
“Throughout the dental and medical community there is an increasing fear that mouth cancer cases are going undetected,” said Dr Carl Taylor, principal dentist and owner of Taylored Dental Care.
“We know that a visit to the dentist isn’t everyone’s favourite place to go, but early diagnosis is so important.
“We want to assure everyone who attends, not to worry – we treat nervous patients daily and will never judge you.
“We understand how common dental phobia is and all our team are experienced in treating patients with dental anxiety.”
If you are interested in booking a free Mouth Cancer Screening appointment call Taylored Dental Care on 01274 965994 or attend one of the walk-in sessions any Wednesday in November.
