Bradford hospital invites patients and carers to share their experiences

A hospital in Bradford is inviting patients and carers to share their experiences of urgent and emergency care.

Bradford Royal Infirmary’s Emergency Department, part of Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, will host a public meeting on November 17 from 11am to 3pm as part of the ‘Excel’ programme, which aims to improve patient care by reducing waits and length of stay.

Doctors and nurses will outline the programme’s ambitions, update on its progress so far and take questions from attendees.

Tania Windle, matron lead for the Emergency Department’s ‘Outstanding Programme,’ said: “We’re embarking on an ambitious, three-year journey to improve the way we deliver urgent and emergency care, enhancing the experience for both patients and staff.

“We are holding these public events to further explore our patients’ experiences and ideas for improvement.

“Patient’s feedback is the key driver in making positive change to improve their experience and the patient voice is so important, we want to hear it.”

Attendees will have the chance to ask questions and share feedback on areas such as waiting times, communication, and comfort in the Emergency Department.

A light lunch will also be provided but spaces are limited.
