A Bradford law firm has advised B&M on the securing of a ten-year lease on a new 674,265 sq ft distribution centre.
Gordons advised the discount retailer on the lease of the Ellesmere Port facility, in Cheshire.
The centre, named Link 674, will commence operation in 2025 and serve as an import centre for B&M.
It will also support the retailer’s plans to increase its UK store count to at least 1,200 locations.
In the past six months, B&M has opened 30 new UK stores.
Joanne Fearnley of Gordons said: “We are very pleased to have played our part in securing the deal by advising on the complex lease negotiations and look forward to seeing Link 674 become operational for our client next year.
“We have a longstanding trusted relationship with B&M.”
The Link 674 lease agreement is with real estate investor Cain International, and the site will be managed by Firethorn Trust on behalf of Cain International.
B8 Real Estate, CBRE, and Moriarty & Co acted for Cain and Firethorn Trust, with Simmons & Simmons providing legal advice.
B&M was represented by Savills as well as by Gordons.
According to a spokesperson, Gordons, which has offices in Bradford and Leeds, has been advising B&M for more than 20 years.
