Bradford pubs’ to enjoy 12-day ale festival kicking off next month

Beer lovers across Bradford are in for a treat as a 12-day real ale festival gets underway.

The event is taking place at The Myrtle Grove in Bingley, The Turls Green in Bradford, and The Obediah Brooke in Cleckheaton, and will run from Wednesday, October 1, to Sunday, October 12.

Each pub will offer up to 30 different ales, including five from international brewers.

Nicki Hanson, manager at The Turls Green, said: “The festival is a great celebration of real ale.

“It will allow us to showcase a selection of superb beers, featuring many not previously available to our customers in the pub, including those from brewers as far afield as Australia and India, as well as those closer to home, over a 12-day perioid.

“All of the beers will be available at great value-for-money prices.”

The five international ales include brews from India, France, Australia, and two from the USA, marking the first time these pubs have featured real ales from India and France.

The majority of the beers on offer have been brewed for the first time, exclusively for the festival, with four vegan (also suitable for vegetarians) beers available.

The beers will cost from £1.99 to £2.15 a pint, as well as three third-of-a-pint tasters will also be available.
