A support worker in Bradford has been recognised for her dedication and work in the field.
Emma Proudman-Harris, who works at Turning Point’s learning disability service on West Lane in Thornton, received the honour at the Inspired by Possibility Awards, held at The Shard in London.
She was praised for her “quiet strength and unwavering commitment,” which judges said had made a “profound impact.”
Ms Proudman-Harris said: “I am completely lost for words.
“I’m surrounded by a great team who have been so supportive during my time at Turning Point.”
The awards celebrate the achievements of staff who support people with challenges around alcohol, drugs, mental health and learning disabilities.
Lisa Prendergast, locality manager at Turning Point, said: “Emma treats every individual with dignity – she is patient, understanding and makes a difference in ways that are often subtle but deeply meaningful.
“Her work reflects the very best of Turning Point’s values—consistent, thoughtful, and rooted in respect.
“She is a valued colleague whose contributions are felt every day.”
Julie Bass, CEO of Turning Point, added: “These awards are all about the dedication, creativity, compassion, and the way our colleagues bring Turning Point’s values to life every single day.”
