Ray Chapman Motors Bradford moves into old Jaguar site

A CAR dealership will move into an empty old showroom next month that has undergone a multi-million-pound refurbishment.

Ray Chapman Motors Bradford, on Canal Road is moving into the former 2.2-acre Jaguar site on the same stretch of highway at the start of October.

The site is undergoing a high-value transformation and the doors are set to open to the new showroom on October 9.

It comes after Ray Chapman Motors – a family-run company – bought out Clive Brook Volvo back in February from its namesake, taking over the firm’s Canal Road site and another in Huddersfield in the process.

The purchase brought to an end 15 years of Clive Brook Volvo in Bradford, as Mr Brook retired from the motor trade after 40 years.

Sales, servicing, MOT tests and repairs will commence once Ray Chapman Motors Bradford’s new premises opens.

The new-look showroom will feature Volvo’s signature lounge area, complete with Scandinavian furniture, free Wi-Fi and Swedish cakes and coffee.

Customers will be invited to relax while their car is being looked after or can carry on working using the Wi-Fi.

The showroom will display the latest range of stunning Volvo cars, including the pure electric XC40 and plug-in hybrids, as well as over 100 Volvo Selekt Approved Used models.

The retailer will also continue to offer their streamlined service to car owners which halves waiting times.

Two technicians work together on each car, reducing the time it takes for the service to be fulfilled.

Ray Chapman Motors Bradford is welcoming the local community to a special launch evening on October 12, where Kristian Elvefors, Managing Director of Volvo Car UK, will be attending.

The casino-themed event will provide guests with a first-look at the state-of-the-art showroom, as well as giving them an opportunity to chat to the expert team.

Duncan Chapman, Managing Director at Ray Chapman Motors, said: “We’re thrilled to be sharing the news of our refurbishment of Ray Chapman Motors Bradford.

“Keeping up with the growing popularity of electric vehicles, our new state-of-the-art retailer will offer a range of plug-in hybrid models, as well as the pure electric XC40 – alongside a selection of petrol and diesel cars for our Volvo Selekt Range.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming new and existing customers to our new-look home which will offer the perfect, sustainable-friendly environment to mirror the Volvo experience and hope to meet many at our upcoming launch event.”
