Employees from a Yorkshire business have been praised after spending a day volunteering at a charity.
The team from Barratt and David Wilson Homes Yorkshire West spent the day supporting Surplus to Purpose, a Bradford-based social enterprise focused on reducing food waste by repurposing surplus food for use in communities, schools, and events across the UK.
Eight team members helped stock shelves, organise supplies, and assist service users.
Adam Smith, founder and chief executive at Surplus to Purpose, said: “We are proud to be able to offer such opportunities to local companies to be able to give back to their community.
“The work carried out by the team at Barratt and David Wilson Homes will benefit hundreds of people across West Yorkshire.”
Gavin Birch, managing director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Yorkshire West, added: “Giving back to the community is something we strongly believe in and we’re proud to contribute to causes that make a meaningful difference.”
