Full list of 22 Asda Express stores set to open in the UK before the end of 2025

Asda is set to open 22 new Express stores across the UK before the end of 2025.

The supermarket giant opened its first Express store back in 2022, before pausing the launch of more to focus on converting 469 shops acquired from the Co-op and EG Group.

Now, three years later, Asda has finally resumed its Express store opening programme, with the launch of a new shop in Castleford earlier this month.

This will be followed by a further 21 new Asda Express stores opening across the UK before the end of the year.

The new stores will see Asda grow its footprint in high-footfall urban areas, residential locations, and transport hubs – sites where the retailer has traditionally had limited presence.

All the new Asda Express stores set to open before the end of 2025 are:

  • Castleford – Holywell Lane
  • London – Tower Bridge
  • Greenwich – South Street
  • London – Limehouse Station
  • Harringay – Green Lanes
  • Stoke – Station Road
  • London – Finsbury Park Station
  • Deptford – Landings
  • Botley – Boorley Green
  • Whetstone – High Road
  • Ferndown – Wimborne Road
  • London – Tottenham Hale West
  • Crystal Palace – Anerley Road
  • Deepcut – Bridge Road
  • Harrow – Headstone Drive
  • Manchester – Square Gardens
  • Liverpool – Parliament Street
  • Horncastle
  • Wigan – Mesnes Road
  • Heath Hayes – Hednesford Road
  • Cadishead – Liverpool Road
  • Bradford – Toller Lane

Exact dates for the opening of the remaining Asda Express stores are yet to be revealed.

The openings of these new stores will bring the total number of Asda Express stores in the UK to around 500, with more planned for 2026.

Chief Supply Chain Officer at Asda, David Lepley, said: “We’re thrilled to kick off the next phase of our Express rollout and bring our heritage in delivering outstanding value to more locations across the UK.

“In just three years, we’ve grown from zero convenience stores to establishing a major presence in the channel, with almost 500 stores by the end of the year.

“This continued investment reflects the confidence we have in our convenience strategy and our focus on bringing Asda’s low prices to more local communities.”
