A Yorkshire luxury gift packaging firm has signed a 10-year lease on a 34,400 sq ft building in Batley.
Glick, which supplies gift wrap, bags, and accessories to retailers including John Lewis, Fenwick and Clintons, says the new space will allow it to continue growing and create new jobs.
Becky Dobson, managing director at Glick, said: “We’d been in our previous building, which was just off Tong Street in Bradford, for 15 years but we’d outgrown it and were renting several external storage units to accommodate our ever-growing client base.
“This meant we had more stock outside our own building than in it.”
The new facility on Grange Valley Road is three times the size of the firm’s previous premises and will serve as both its head office and main distribution centre.
Ms Dobson said the move will support further growth in sales and exports, which now form a major part of the company’s business.
The building was marketed by property consultancies GV&Co and Michael Steel & Co on behalf of Wharfedale Property.
Prior to Glick’s move, Wharfedale Property carried out refurbishment works including new offices, doors, windows, and staff facilities.
