MBA graduates return to Bradford 25 years after completing studies

A group of MBA graduates have returned to Bradford 25 years after completing their studies.

The 15 alumni, from Germany and the UK, reunited at the University of Bradford for a three-day visit.

The reunion included a tour of the campus, the School of Management, and the business school’s former headquarters in Emm Lane.

Many of the group studied while working for Bayer, the German pharmaceutical company, which had links to the university.

Among the alumni were married couple Christina Kruett and Christoph Doehner, who now live in Cologne, Germany.

Christina said: “We didn’t know anything about Bradford before we came.

“It was great fun. Travelling over to Bradford really opened my mind.”

Christoph added: “Studying for the MBA was crucial to me getting a job in Calgary afterwards.

“It was a great thing to do the MBA in the UK.”

The University of Bradford’s MBA programme offers flexible study options for working professionals, including weekend study, distance learning, and a campus in Dubai.

Professor Yvonne Moogan, director of the School of Management, said: “Our MBA is well recognised and reputable.

“We wish to grow it in the next few years and have an even more successful Bradford MBA that is hybrid, combining online with block teaching here in Yorkshire.”
