New acting headquarters opens in Bradford as creative sector set for boost

A new acting headquarters has opened in the heart of Bradford, promising to boost the city’s creative sector.

Matt Zina Acting (MZA), founded by the award-winning screen acting coach and agent, has launched its new base at Eldon Place.

The centre was officially opened by Dan Bates, chief executive of Bradford City of Culture 2025, who cut the ribbon in front of an audience of dignitaries, industry professionals, and creatives.

Matt Zina said: “This HQ represents a shared vision — a place where talent, opportunity, and community come together.

“We now have facilities that amazed everyone who came to the opening, and I believe they will play a huge role in Bradford’s creative future.”

The headquarters includes a green screen studio, recording studio, production studio with fixed lighting, rehearsal space, and production offices.

Guests at the launch described the facilities as a valuable asset for Bradford’s creative community.

MZA is a leading centre for professional screen acting training and representation, working with both children and adults to prepare them for careers in film and television.

MZA will host a free open day during the week of September 1, offering adults and children aged seven and above the chance to take part in a professional acting class.
