A BRADFORD confectionery wholesaler is now stocking more than 200 vegan, vegetarian and Halal lines for the city’s sweet lovers.

The Hancocks’ depot on Euroway Industrial Estate, has introduced the aisle to cater for Bradford shoppers.

Now more than 200 confectionery lines fill the 50-foot-long aisle with tasty treats on each side to cater to the specific dietary requirements.

Customers have given the new aisle a thumbs up with sales having increased by 40 per cent since it launched.

Top-selling lines include Vegan Assorted Fizzy Mix, Vegan Jully Blue Babies, Vegan Blue Raspberry Bonbons and Ooze Tubes.

Hancocks, on Euroway Industrial Estate, has been in Bradford for 41 years and supplies sweets to independent retailers, online confectionery businesses and leisure outlets across the city.

Linda Haley, Hancocks Bradford store manager, said: “We are really happy to share our brand new dedicated vegan and veggie aisle.

“We are the first Hancocks store to install this, as it is super important for our customer base.

“It has always been important for us to meet our customers’ needs. Many of our retail customers are looking specifically for halal, vegan and veggie lines. Stocking this all-in-one dedicated aisle makes it easier for customers to shop the whole range.

“Seeing the response from our customers has been brilliant.”
