WORKERS at Barratt Developments Yorkshire West volunteered at a Bradford charity superstore.
Children’s charity Barnardo’s welcomed the finance team from Barratt, who donated a day of their time by sorting through stock, creating new window displays and assisting with various other tasks at the Forster Square Retail Park store.
The activity is part of Barratt Developments Yorkshire West’s ‘Donate a Day’ programme, where all employees are encouraged to pledge two full days of volunteering to a local cause each year.
Barnardo’s has been supporting children in need since 1866 and today is the UK’s largest children’s charity.
Nadine Good, who is director of children’s services in the North of England at Barnardo’s said: “We’re extremely grateful to the volunteers from Barratt for joining us in our Bradford Superstore for the day.
“Our shops are a vital source of funding, allowing us to support children and young people, so the extra help has been much appreciated.”
Andy Donoghue, finance director at Barratt Developments Yorkshire West, added: “We are always looking for ways to help the communities in which we build and so the Bradford Barnardo’s store was a great choice of organisation to support through our initiative.”
