A Yorkshire law firm is expanding its team with a wave of new appointments.
Schofield Sweeney has welcomed six senior hires and four solicitor apprentices, bringing its total headcount to 178.
The appointments support growing demand for legal services across key areas including private wealth, insolvency, debt recovery, contentious probate, and property litigation.
Graham Sweeney, managing partner at Schofield Sweeney, said: “These appointments mark significant growth for Schofield Sweeney as we continue to invest in top-tier talent to deliver outstanding service and value to our clients.
“We’re delighted to welcome all the senior recruits and new apprentices and we look forward to further enhancing our service offering across departments such as insolvency and debt recovery, and embracing new opportunities.
“As a firm, we’ve also always been committed to supporting young talent, and we’re excited to see our apprentices grow and develop both professionally and personally.”
Among the senior hires are Gillian Kaufman, who joins as director in restructuring and insolvency, and Dale Fawcett, the new head of debt recovery.
Ms Kaufman previously worked at Irwin Mitchell and brings expertise in corporate recovery and insolvency.
Mr Fawcett was drawn to the firm by its “strong brand presence and scale,” and looks forward to expanding the firm’s debt recovery services.
