Yorkshire’s largest independent hotel group has been named one of the UK’s top employers.
Cedar Court Hotels earned a spot on The Caterer’s Best Places to Work in Hospitality 2025 Awards, which recognise outstanding workplace cultures and employee benefits.
The recognition follows the appointment of Colin Charles as director of people and culture earlier this year.
Mr Charles said: “Our biggest asset is our people.
“It’s a privilege to elevate the people agenda to allow all our people to be bold and brave whilst remaining true to themselves.”
He has led several new initiatives at Cedar Court, including the group’s first Culture Summit and the recruitment of Culture Ambassadors.
The company said these changes have helped further improve Cedar Court’s internal culture and external reputation as an employer.
The hotel group said Mr Charles has played a significant role in this investment, being instrumental in ensuring the development of people across the business, helping to nurture talent, encourage progression, and aid retention.
