Volunteers Needed!
We (the organisers) are pleased to announce that the Bradford Dragonboat Festival 2022 is back to a 3 day format. We have over 100 teams and over 2000 participants already signed up for what promises to again be another fabulous occasion. The venue, once more, is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Roberts Park, Saltaire. A truly stunning part of this planet.
As with our previous Festivals we are raising money for local good causes in the region and equally showcasing everything that is wonderful about Bradford, its Districts and West Yorkshire as a whole. Another opportunity for us all to demonstrate (and celebrate) why Bradford has been chosen as City of Culture for 2025
As always with this Festival, it is a Community Festival, for the Community, organised, planned and delivered by volunteers. Once more we have many wonderful contributors from across the region supporting us, however we need volunteers to aid us with many aspects of running the Festival across the 3 days. If this is something you can help us with, then please email me at jsg8@hotmail.co.uk and title your email as ‘VOLUNTEER BRADFORD DBF 2022’ – If you can provide us with your name, and a return email address and some brief details as to your experience then we will look forward to inviting you to be part of the occasion.
What we can promise you as a volunteer is you will have much fun and it is something you can add to your CV, as well as place on your Social Media and tell family, friends and work colleagues all about. Especially as the Festival is already the UK’s largest Dragonboat Festival, it’s award winning, has the only Youth Day, is on the International Dragonboat Federation calendar of events and does so many positive things for the district. – All those who volunteer will be fed and receive drinks from us, which is again being supplied by Tiffin Sandwiches.
