Businesses from across Yorkshire & The Humber have been recognised for their excellent achievements over the last 12 months at a sold-out event at The Principal Hotel York. Winners included the Friendly Chemical Company from Keighley who won the Environmental / Sustainability Award.
The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) Celebrating Small Business Awards highlights the best in class across a range of categories for small and medium sized businesses employing less than 250 staff.
Winners included a young entrepreneur property developer; a food and cookery business; an environmentally friendly chemical company; an innovative glamping provider and an expanding childcare business.
FSB Regional Chair Simon Williams spoke to welcome attendees at the event, recognising the incredible challenges businesses across the area have faced through the pandemic:
“Achieving success against the backdrop of the last two years is hugely impressive. Businesses have shown incredible resilience in surviving, pivoting and thriving and we should all say a big thank you for the role you have played in keeping our economy moving and supporting your communities through the services and goods you supply and the jobs you provide”.
The Yorkshire & The Humber winners will now go on to represent the region at a star-studded event in Glasgow in May, which will feature winners from across the UK and will be hosted by Claire Balding and JJ Chalmers.
