Kirkgate Shopping Centre launches Queen’s Platinum Jubilee competition

Kirkgate Shopping Centre in partnership with the Telegraph and Argus are kicking off a royal competition to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee in June and need your help! The shopping centre and local newspaper are looking for budding artists up to the age of 15 to design a special celebratory card for Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee

Families can download the special card template from the Kirkgate website www.kirkgate.co.uk or pick up from Kirkgate Shopping Centre from the ground floor near F HINDS. The competition is open from 23rd February until 30th April and entries can be dropped in the post box provided in Kirkgate, sent via the post or emailed to the shopping centre. All the details can be found on the website.

Once all the cards have been received our judges consisting of Catherine Riley, Centre Manager at Kirkgate, and Sue Taylor, from the Telegraph and Argus, will select their favourite entries which will then go to a Facebook vote and the public will choose the winner! The winning entry will receive £200 to spend at Kirkgate and their special card will be made into an official card to be sent to the Queen.

Catherine Riley, Kirkgate Centre Manager, commented: “We are delighted to celebrate this important millstone in our royal family’s history with a fun competition for the whole family. We are involving the Bradford community and giving budding artist a platform to showcase their designs”.
