Local property expert recruited to oversee lettings and property management at Dacres in the Aire Valley

Yorkshire’s largest independent estate agent, Dacre, Son & Hartley, has appointed Deborah Saia to oversee its residential lettings and property management division in Bingley and the Aire Valley.

Deborah has a wealth of local property knowledge, having lived in and around the Bingley and Riddlesden areas most of her life and she originally spent 17 years working as a history teacher before establishing a day nursery business.

In her new role, she will oversee the company’s residential lettings and property management division, alongside a seven strong team, throughout Bingley, Saltaire, Baildon, Keighley and all their surrounding towns and villages.

Since it relaunched approximately two years ago, the division has grown significantly and now manages a full range of property, from smart apartments through to high quality family homes.

Deborah will continue to grow Dacre, Son & Hartley’s managed rentals portfolio, which has doubled in size in the past 12 months alone, with services on offer to landlords including both a fully managed offering and a tenant sourcing service.

Deborah said: “I’ve lived locally most of my life, so I’ve always known Dacre, Son & Hartley, which has been a constant presence in Yorkshire for more than 200 years. Therefore, when the opportunity arose to join the firm’s Bingley office, I leapt at the chance and to now oversee the lettings division is a privilege – especially because it’s such a great time for the market.

“Although many investors sold up in recent years, we’re now seeing new landlords entering the market. In addition, we’re currently winning new instructions from landlords who want our expertise to guide them through The Renters’ Rights Act, which was introduced earlier this month.

“Crucially our focus is on quality rather than quantity because most well-maintained homes, that are priced correctly and professionally presented, will let quickly in the current market.”

Patrick McCutcheon, head of residential at Dacres, said: “Deborah knows the local area inside out, and is a great addition to our team to oversee our lettings division as we expand in the Aire Valley. There’s no doubt both landlords and their investments are in very safe hands with Deborah.”

Founded more than 200 years ago, Dacre, Son & Hartley is Yorkshire’s largest independent estate agent, with 17 offices across North and West Yorkshire and it also owns the Lister Haigh estate agency brand. For more information call 01274 560421 or visit www.dacres.co.uk
