A BRADFORD company has been running for a quarter of a century.
Encon Staffing Associates Ltd, located in Mornington Villas, Manningham, turned 25 years old and celebrated with employees and their families at an outdoor gathering.
Encon supplies temporary and permanent staff to the construction industry across the UK.
Azhar Hussain, director, said: “We have prospered over the years and generated lots of work for thousands of candidates.
“It is nice to see how much our work helps others as some of our workers started with us as just general labourers and have worked their way up to being site managers, which we have seen their careers progress.
“Twenty-five years later we are still working together, and the business is going strong.”
Encon employs 10 staff members.
Mr Hussain said: “As a small local business we pride ourselves on social values and employing local staff from surrounding areas.”
He reflected on how much the business has changed over the years.
He said: “From having no mobile phones to doing everything via paperwork, we now run completely through computers and keeping up to date with the latest technology to keep the business running as easy and smoothly as possible.
“From seeing a recession and having to go through Covid we have still grown and continue to, as shown now with opening our new sector Encon Pharma run by my son Awais Hussain.”
Encon Pharma started as a pharmacy recruitment agency.
Through conversations with pharmacies, founder Awais Hussain spotted a gap for pharmacy software.
Its software gives busy community pharmacies a centralised portal to manage their service delivery.
The company has grown from a four-person to a 13-person team, across its UK head office and a second office in Lahore, Pakistan, in under three years.
Awais Hussain said: “We exhibited at our first pharmacy show in 2025, with another planned this year, and more tools and features are coming soon.”
To mark the 25th anniversary, Mr Hussain and business partner Giles Casson hosted a garden party for staff and families.
Mr Hussain said: “We chose a garden party as we could then cater for a large group of people in one space and with the wonderful weather, we have been having it gave a chance to enjoy it.

“We had a rodeo, outdoor darts, penalty shootout, table tennis and garden games for all to enjoy.
“It was nice for our employees to be able to invite their families along, it was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.”
