The Ghana-Yorkshire Trade and Investment Summit took place at the University of Bradford on September 11 and 12, 2026.
The event was organised by Nana A. O. Hagan, founder and CEO of SHOFT CIC, and focused on deepening economic and cultural ties between Ghana and Yorkshire.
It attracted business leaders, academics, government officials and traditional figures from both regions.
A spokesperson said: “Creating an event is one thing.
“Creating an environment in which such different people can meet one another, recognise something of value in one another and begin conversations that may continue long after the chairs have been put away is something else entirely.”
Keynote speakers included Ghanaian parliamentarians and financial leaders, while the University of Bradford’s School of Management contributed academic insights.
The summit also celebrated cultural heritage through the presence of Nana Afua Apiatewa III of the Gomoa Assin Traditional Council in Ghana.
