Housing association’s appeal for winter clothing to help vulnerable people

A housing association is calling for donations of winter clothing to help vulnerable people stay warm during the colder months.

Horton Housing Association, which operates across Bradford, Kirklees, Calderdale, and North Yorkshire, has launched its annual Warm This Winter campaign.

It is seeking donations of winter coats, jumpers, fleeces, hats, scarves, gloves, and socks, as well as unused toiletries.

Gudrun Haskins Carlisle, chief executive officer at Horton Housing, said: “Many people in our services face the winter without adequate clothing, so we’re asking the public for your support.

“If you have any winter coats, scarves, jumpers, gloves or other warm items you no longer need, kindly consider donating to us.”

Financial donations are also welcome and will be used to buy winter clothing and toiletries for the appeal.

All items collected will be sorted and distributed by the organisation’s team of volunteers.
