A RETROSPECTIVE application to turn a joinery workshop into a hair and beauty salon has been submitted to Bradford Council.

Submitted by Hollie Topp, the application is for a beauty business called Airehead, and based at Cottingley Bridge on Bradford Road, Bingley.

The application says the work to convert the workshop was completed in July.

The salon is based on the ground floor and the beauty rooms on the first floor, in former office space.

The application adds: “The overall appearance has not changed externally from when it was used as a joinery shop and therefore, has no adverse effect on the building character.”

Opening hours specified in the application are 9am to 8pm on Monday to Friday and 8.30am to 4.30pm on Saturday.

A decision on the application is expected in late January.
