A Celebration will be held in Bradford for International Women’s Day this month.

Bradford Women’s Collective and Women Leading the Way will host the event at City Hall from 1pm to 3pm to mark the day – which is observed around the world on March 8 – on Thursday, March 9.

Speakers at the event will include Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe, the Leader of Bradford Council, and Salihah Siddiq, the Co-Chair of the Millan Centre in Manningham.

Professor Taqdees Gillani, from Azad Kashmir, Pakistan, will also lead a talk, as will local women and partner organisations.

A panel will also be hosted by the Bradford-based Race Equality Network.

Refreshments will also be served at the event.
