A new campaign is encouraging businesses in Bradford to make the most of free recruitment support in their area.
Launched across the region, the campaign promotes Jobcentre Plus services, which include no-cost job advertising, CV shortlisting, interview hosting, and access to Sector-Based Work Academy Programmes.
Recent events, such as a successful Care Jobs Fair, have connected jobseekers with employers and led to on-the-spot interviews.
Ramon Saciri and Anita Winstanly, employer and partnership managers, said: “We invite businesses into our offices to host job fairs and conduct face-to-face interviews, helping them connect directly with the right candidates to fill their vacancies.
“This is a great opportunity to streamline recruitment and reduce costs whether they have one, or many vacancies.”
An NHS recruitment event is scheduled for Wednesday, November 26, at Girlington Community Centre, with Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offering insider advice and application support.
Jobcentre Plus also provides targeted support for young people and those facing employment barriers, including coaching and financial help through the Flexible Support Fund.
Pat McFadden, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, added: “Over 329,000 more people have moved into work this year already, but today’s figures are exactly why we’re stepping up our plan to Get Britain Working.”
