A Cross Hills-based business has received a publicity bump after social media reposts by former Dragon’s Den star Theo Paphitis.
Comprendo, which specialises in remote desktop solutions for SMEs, posted on Mr Paphitis’s Instagram page during Small Business Sunday.
Comprendo was one of six weekly winners to receive a repost across the retail guru’s Twitter and Instagram accounts, which combined have more than half a million followers.
Small Business Sunday was started by Mr Paphitis in 2010, and has formed a network of more than 3,500 winners.
The successful post, created by Comprendo’s sales and marketing manager, Sara Haggas, referenced global IT outages caused by a CrowdStrike update.
Ms Haggas said: “It has made us think carefully about the trust and confidence our clients put in us to keep their businesses running smoothly and efficiently every day of the year.”
Small business owners can aim for a repost by Mr Paphitis by posting on Instagram between 5pm and 7.30pm on Sundays, either on their own feeds with appropriate hashtags and tagging, or on Mr Paphitis’s Instagram page.
Every Monday at 8pm, six businesses receive a repost and are then invited to add their profile on the Small Business Sunday website, attend an annual networking event, and collaborate with fellow reposted SMEs.
