MORE than half of workers in Bradford say they don’t know who runs the business they work for.
According to new research, 55 per cent of employees in Bradford are unaware of the name of the person in charge of their organisation.
The study, conducted by OnePoll on behalf of communications firm Herkess Marketing, surveyed 2,000 UK workers about internal communications in their workplace.
Emma Radcliffe, founder of Herkess Marketing, said: “When over half of workers across Bradford don’t even know the name of the person running the business they work for, it shows that the leadership within that organisation is pretty invisible to the average staff member.
“All too often businesses take it for granted that their staff feel connected to the business, but that simply isn’t the case.
“If companies in Bradford want to fix workplace frustration and stop staff from making costly mistakes, they need to break down the barriers between teams, and get their workers talking.”

The research found that 27 per cent of Bradford employees regularly repeat work or make errors due to poor communication between teams.
Furthermore, 23 per cent stated they never know what other teams are working on, directly impacting their ability to do their own jobs.
