One Keighley school has seen its library receive a literary boost following the donation of £500 of new books by a local manufacturer.
Pupils at Sutton-in-Craven Community Primary School can now enjoy a greater range of library books which have been donated by chemical company, Airedale Group, based nearby in Cross Hills.

The selected books have been carefully chosen by teachers to cover science and maths, helping to inspire the chemistry stars of the future, as well as books that challenge stereotypes.
Deputy headteacher, Mike Clayton, explains: “Whenever we receive new resources, it always makes a big difference to the school. New books can re-invigorate library sessions and provide new perspectives and fresh ways of thinking.
“Therefore, donations such as this from Airedale Group make a huge difference and we’re thankful for their continued support.”
The relationship forms part of Airedale Group’s programme of engagement with groups and projects aimed at improving local communities and the environment.
Daniel Marr, commercial director at Airedale Group, adds: “We have enjoyed a close association with Sutton-in-Craven Community Primary School for many years now and to hear that the books are being enjoyed and support learning at the school is such fantastic news.
“It’s also great to hear that many of the books cover STEM subjects as we’re always on the lookout for rising stars in the world of science.”
Airedale Group, founded in 1973, is based in Cross Hills and provides chemicals and related services to the UK and Europe.
