“Vibrant place to be”: concept store and creative hub opens in Pudsey

A new concept store and creative hub has opened in Pudsey.

Sunnyjolly Designs, which opened on Saturday, March 1, is a “contemporary, light-filled, and vibrant place to be,” according to a spokesperson.

The store is filled with accessories, gifts, and artwork created by illustrator and artist, Helen Broadhead.

Ms Broadhead said: “I enjoy using art to spread happiness, and while animals and the natural world are major influences on my work, I also have a strong interest in sustainable art.

“I view a toy that is somewhat worn out or missing an arm as a chance to make something new rather than discard it.”

Sunnyjolly Designs also has a creative hub where people can enjoy arts and crafts.

Ms Broadhead said: “I will be conducting after-school programs, home education exercises, and interactive art workshops that you don’t often find in mainstream settings.

“I want to make art accessible and enjoyable for everyone, from repurposing toys and found objects to experimenting with acrylics and watercolours.”

Sunnyjolly Designs is located at 35A Richardshaw Lane, Pudsey, Leeds, LS28 7NB.
