A new scheme in Bradford is helping residents take the first steps towards self-employment.
The pilot, delivered by Business Services Leeds and funded by Bradford Council through the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, offers free, in-person support across the Bradford district.
The scheme offers one-to-one coaching sessions and workshops in libraries and community venues and will run until March 2026.
Councillor Imran Khan, portfolio holder for education, employment and skills at Bradford Council, said: “The pilot is designed to help entrepreneurs turn their business idea into a reality.
“They will receive practical support tailored to their needs, helping them to test their idea, find their first customers, build confidence and receive real-world feedback.
“Bradford has a proud heritage in industry and it truly is a place where businesses of all sectors can thrive.
“Anyone over the age of 16 with a business idea can take advantage of the free support.”
