An local opticians has been shortlisted for a national award.
Specsavers in Keighley is a finalist in the Community Heroes category at the Retail Week Awards 2026.
To mark the achievement, the store has pledged to carry out an act of community kindness every Thursday until the awards night on March 19.
Raj Gill, ophthalmic director at Specsavers Keighley, said: “Here at Specsavers Keighley we pride ourselves on putting the people of Airedale Valley at the front and centre of everything we do.
“It’s amazing to see our efforts recognised – thanks to our hardworking team of staff and amazing customers, we couldn’t do it without you.”

Recent activities have included hosting coffee clubs, helping customers pack groceries, and offering free trolley coins.
Upcoming plans include a musical evening at a care home, another community coffee club, and an in-store celebration.
