A Bradford-based manufacturing company set for a large investment was recently visited by Bradford South MP Judith Cummins.
BorgWarner employs more than 300 people and produces turbochargers for vehicles worldwide, supporting improved engine efficiency and lower emissions.
The facility is set to benefit from a £2 million investment for upgrades, including the installation of solar panels and other building improvements.
During the visit, Ms Cummins discussed the strength of the sector, investment in apprenticeships and work experience, and the future of transitioning to hydrogen-based and other renewable fuels.
Ms Cummins said: “It is important that hi-tech companies like BorgWarner are continuing to invest in Bradford and the city’s skilled workforce.
“The company is a shining example of how local manufacturing is making a global impact.”
Plant manager Anton added: “We are based in Bradford because that is where the local talent is.
“The highly skilled team at BorgWarner Bradford produces advanced turbocharger components that make engines more fuel efficient.

Comprised of up to 200 components, turbochargers built help increase engine power, which is important in commercial, industrial and agricultural vehicles all over the world.
