A care home in West Yorkshire has been rated outstanding following a recent inspection.
Carlton House in Rothwell Haigh, Leeds, was upgraded from “requires improvement” to “outstanding” following an inspection in April.
The home is run by Priory and supports younger adults, older adults, autistic people and those with learning disabilities.
Alison Chilton, deputy director of operations in the north-east region at CQC, said: “When we inspected Carlton House, we found an exceptional service where staff and leaders worked hard to provide the best possible care.
“Everyone we spoke with, including people using the service, their relatives, and external professionals, spoke highly of the staff team, describing how they consistently went above and beyond in the care they provided.”
The CQC rated the home outstanding for being caring, responsive and well-led, and good for being safe and effective.
Inspectors noted warm, respectful interactions between staff and residents, and said care was tailored to each person’s needs.
Activities included mindfulness sessions, pamper sessions, and safe and healthy relationship workshops.

Ms Chilton said: “Leaders and staff should be very proud of the findings in this report.
“It’s clear the service was committed to treating people as individuals and empowering them to achieve their goals and lead fulfilling lives.”
