AI is already changing work – Bradford forum to explore what’s next

ARTIFICIAL intelligence is already reshaping the way we work, and leaders are being urged to prepare for its growing impact.

The University of Bradford will host a one-day forum on June 18 to examine how organisations can respond to the accelerating influence of AI on leadership, governance, and the future of work.

Entitled Sustainable by Design: AI for a Better Tomorrow, the event will bring together business leaders, public sector figures, and academics to discuss practical challenges as AI shifts from emerging technology to everyday reality.

Craig Johnson, associate professor at the University of Bradford, said: “AI is no longer something on the horizon, it is already starting to reshape how organisations operate.

“The question is whether we are actively shaping how it is used or simply reacting to it.”

The forum will explore AI’s impact across sectors, particularly on roles involving administration and analysis.

“Much of the conversation around automation has historically focused on manual work.

“What we are now seeing is a shift towards white-collar roles, particularly in areas such as administration and analysis, where AI can already deliver significant efficiencies.”

Keynote speaker Phil Le Brun from Amazon Web Services, a University of Bradford alumnus, will join a programme of industry and public sector speakers.
