TRANSDEV has named two air ambulance charities as its charities of the year.
The regional bus company will support Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) and North West Air Ambulance Charity (NWAA) through a series of fundraising events throughout the year.
Matt Burley, project and marketing manager at Transdev, said: “We’re proud to have partnered with North West Air Ambulance Charity and Yorkshire Air Ambulance as our charities of the year.
“The organisations were selected following a vote by colleagues across our leadership teams in Yorkshire and Lancashire, with strong support reflecting the importance of the work they do in our communities.”
Fundraising activities will begin with charity walks in Lancashire and Yorkshire at the end of June, following routes served daily by Transdev buses.
Tessa Klemz, regional fundraising manager at Yorkshire Air Ambulance, welcomed the partnership.
She said: “We are delighted to have been chosen as one of Transdev’s charities of the year and would like to thank everyone involved for their support.
