New venture ‘opening soon’ in Bradford spot once home to popular Indian restaurant

A NEW restaurant in a striking Bradford city centre building will offer “a new chapter in South Asian dining.”

The former Nawaab restaurant on Manor Row dates back to the 1820s, but has been empty for a number of years.

In that time, the building suffered vandalism and damage from damp.

Last year, plans to bring the restaurant back into use were revealed.

An application to refurbish the building, submitted by Edens Bradford Ltd, said the new restaurant planned for the building would “create a focal point in this part of Bradford.”

Those plans were approved late last year, and work on the building has been taking place in recent months.

New signage on the building reveals that the restaurant will be named after the historic street on which it resides – Manor Row.

The business’ social media page says: “Modern South Asian dining, inspired by heritage, crafted for today.”
