Care home staff in Bradford have been honoured for their years of service during a recent celebration.
The event took place at Steeton Court Nursing Home – a Spellman Care home – where team members were recognised for their commitment and dedication during a heartfelt ceremony led by home manager Caroline Cowland.
The conservatory was filled with residents, relatives, and colleagues who gathered to mark the occasion.
Each honouree received a card, a certificate, and a bouquet of flowers, as well as the home’s chef, Craig, who also prepared a homemade cake for everyone.
Among those recognised was Shabana, who reached 25 years of service.
Umma and Lindsay were honoured for 15 years, Khansa and Shamila for 10 years, and Nosheen and Claire for five years.
Caroline Cowland, home manager, said: “It is an absolute privilege to lead such a dedicated and compassionate team.
“These awards are about more than just years on a calendar; they represent thousands of hours of kindness, dignity, compassion, and the deep personal connections made with our residents every single day.
“Seeing our conservatory full of families and staff coming together to celebrate Shabana, Umma, Lindsay, and the rest of the team shows just how much they mean to the Steeton Court family.
“They truly are the heart of this home.”
The ceremony also follows a group-wide milestone for Spellman Care.
Rachael Houldsworth, senior administrator at Steeton Court, became the first employee in the group’s history to reach 35 years of service, having joined before Spellman Care opened its first home.
The long service awards highlight the home’s focus on stability and excellence.
